Abstract means "reduced to simplest form," like a complex person, would then be a stick figure.

This painting depicts some of the Macaw parrot bird's features and some of its environment.

Colors, shapes, & textures that remind you of the bird... banana leaf strokes, bird of paradise impression, & feather detail.

Abstract paintings let the mind wander to a higher caliper of sophistication by examining parts & relationships of form & color. Interesting how something simplistic does this.

The black lines in this piece is synthetic braid hair dipped in really thick acrylic paint, extending its way over finished edges of canvas. This hair is normally used to create extensions for a longer hairstyle on a person.
