Center square stretched mini canvas glued to outer rectangular flat canvas board, Ruth played with rich textures of pressing on the oil bars with pressure. No paintbrush was used. Oil bars offer an immediacy of giant crayon form, but with fine art quality of the oil painting medium.  

Sweeping reeds, transitioning textures, complimenting colors, shimmering pearl appeal, & fish hanging off edges... all draw attention to an undersea oil impasto wonderland.
