These abstract tulip flowers were made with one huge brushstroke each, in lovely buttery yellow colors; & stems were first makings of sculpting paint to dry on a separate layer, then applied to the painting in a stylized way. Detail brushwork added to smooth the transition of high relief to canvas. Paint leaves are flexible in some places. 

This piece was the first to start it all with the amazing 3D leaf shapes retained from thick paint, now made better by the manufacturers, where the paint doesn't shrink like before.
